Wilbers Type 640 Road Shock Absorber: Adjustable Spring Preload and Rebound Damping The base version of the Wilbers Adjust-Line monoshock impresses with its high-quality, no-frills technology: a radial piston, wet-running guide, and Teflon-coated ball joints ensure reliable response and a long service life. Spring preload is continuously adjustable, while rebound damping can be precisely adjusted across 22 levels via an open bleed system—ideal for a perfectly personalized riding experience. Even without an external reservoir, the shock absorber delivers significantly better performance than many stock solutions and can be flexibly adapted to weight,to load and riding style thanks to numerous adjustment options. While the standard spring preload adjustment is made using the supplied pin wrench, the optional hydraulic version allows for significantly easier and more convenient adjustment via a hand wheel.
