The R NineT is a motorcycle made for customization, which is why carbon fiber suits it so well! For high-tech carbon fiber, Ilmberger uses pre-impregnated carbon fiber mats. The fiber volume is precisely calculated, and the orientation of the various fiber layers is carefully defined. The matrix is then laminated by hand without bubbles and coated twice with a protective layer. The additional clear coat protects and highlights the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure. After curing in an autoclave, the carbon components meet the most stringent requirements and withstand maximum stress.

The aerospace material achieves a weight reduction of up to 70% compared to a standard part and, with its specific stiffness-to-weight ratio, realizes its full potential. Furthermore, form always follows function and integrates seamlessly into the motorcycle’s design. At the same time, the lines of the machine itself are taken into account, as are the material and surface texture of the adjacent stock components.
