The Dakar R12 G/S kit from Unit Garage: a return to basics for BMW R 12 GS owners. The new Dakar R12 G/S kit pays tribute to the legendary Paris-Dakar rally. The history of Unit Garage is closely linked to this race, in which founder Fabio Marcaccini competed five times in the 1980s. When BMW launched the R12 GS, we immediately thought of reinterpreting the classic Dakar style in a modern version. This motorcycle is the ideal canvas for recreating an icon, in line with our philosophy of combining tradition and innovation. We are grateful to BMW for creating a motorcycle that allows us to continue a journey that began more than 40 years ago. Simple and reversible, every component in the kit is plug-and-play. You can transform your R 12 GS into an R12 G/S Dakar in a matter of hours, thanks to the included manual and video tutorials.

No modification of the original (OEM) components is necessary, and the entire process is fully reversible. The new R12 G/S marks a return to the roots of the G/S range, and our Dakar kit revives the spirit of rallying with today's comfort and performance.

PLEASE NOTE:

- The Light White R12GS version (without stickers) is supplied without graphics; graphics can be purchased separately.

- The BMW logos visible in the photo are not included. You will receive a kit containing die-cut 3M double-sided adhesive tape so that you can reuse the original tank logos.

- If you do not wish to remove them from the original tank, you can purchase them from official BMW dealers (code 51147721223) or on our website (code U164).

Larger nylon tank with a capacity of approximately 25 liters (10 more than the original), giving you a range of over 450 km... More than enough to travel around the world!
The R12 G/S Dakar tank weighs 1.7 kg less than the original. It comes painted, with graphics under a clear coat and ready to install, or unpainted if you want to customize it.
The tank cap, fuel pump, and activated carbon filter (cartridge) remain the original ones from your motorcycle.
The reserve light will still work, you won't have to change anything, the kit is fully reversible.
All mounting brackets for the new tank are included in the kit.
It is compatible with most tubular engine guards.
