The Ilmberger fuel tank is crafted from 100% carbon, serving as a centerpiece for the BMW R NineT. Like all Ilmberger carbon fiber parts, it has been manufactured according to the latest industrial protocols and standards, encompassing all aspects of the current best practices in the industry. The piece is entirely made from pre-impregnated carbon fiber materials in an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only enhances the appearance but also protects the carbon fiber from scratches and provides unique UV resistance.
